MERKUR Casino is one of the UK’s leading gaming and leisure operators, with a nationwide network of over 200 venues and thousands of employees delivering high-quality entertainment experiences. 

When MERKUR opened its new premium site in Milton Keynes, the company wanted a uniform that reflected the elevated aesthetic of the venue while maintaining the practicality and brand consistency required across its estate. Having supplied uniforms to Merkur for several years, we were proud to partner once again to deliver a refreshed look that aligned with their new branding and gold sunshine logo.

The launch of Casino Milton Keynes marked a new chapter for Merkur, introducing a premium identity with refined branding and interiors. The brief was to design and deliver a uniform range that matched the upgraded environment while maintaining comfort and functionality for the 100-strong team.

Key requirements included:

• Seamlessly integrating the new gold sunshine logo into the garments
• Introducing new, more premium styles suited to the flagship site
• Maintaining the company’s commitment to sustainability
• Meeting a tight project deadline ahead of opening day

Drawing on our established partnership and understanding of the Merkur brand, we evolved their existing uniform range to better suit the Milton Keynes concept. This included introducing new styles such as grandad collar shirts and tailored suiting, designed to create a refined, contemporary look for the venue. Our approach covered every detail:

Artwork & Swatch Approvals:
Artwork was supplied for approval prior to production, with swatches tested to ensure colour and branding accuracy for the new gold logo.

Sizing Sets for New Starters:
Full sizing sets were provided on-site to ensure all 100 employees received the perfect fit.

Sustainable Production:
Over 1,000 garments were supplied for the launch, many made using recycled fabrics and thread, utilising the equivalent of 12,000+ plastic bottles in the first order alone.

Refined Branding
The new gold sunshine logo was embroidered with recycled thread, positioned subtly on the shirt cuff for a premium, understated finish.

The completed uniform rollout delivered a polished, cohesive look that perfectly complemented the new site’s premium interior. The combination of formal suiting and smart polo shirts created a professional yet approachable style for every team role.

The project was delivered on a tight turnaround, ensuring the new uniforms were ready in time for the casino’s grand opening. Feedback from both staff and management has been overwhelmingly positive, with particular praise for the fit, comfort, and attention to detail.

Merkur already benefit from our LINK online uniform ordering portal, making it easy for their teams to order the right uniforms whenever they need them. The new Milton Keynes uniform range will be added to the platform, but with built-in permissions to ensure it is exclusively available to the Milton Keynes site. This functionality helps Merkur maintain brand consistency and control, ensuring each venue orders only the correct uniform items for their specific location while keeping the process quick and efficient for managers.
