Sukhothai - Thai Fine Dining
Sukhothai is an award-winning Thai restaurant group founded in 2002 by chef-owner Ban Kaewkraikhot, known for bringing authentic Thai cuisine to Yorkshire. It combines traditional recipes with refined creativity, using fresh, high-quality ingredients—many imported directly from Thailand—to deliver a genuine dining experience. Over the years, it has grown from a single neighbourhood restaurant into a respected local institution celebrated for its food, service, and commitment to Thai culinary heritage.
We partnered with Sukhothai Thai Fine Dining Restaurant to translate identity into wearable design.
Infinity Inc. was commissioned to create a bespoke uniform collection that reflects the restaurant's refined aesthetic while delivering consistency across front and back-of-house teams.
Inspired by a curated visual identity, the collection balances heritage detailing, contemporary tailoring, and operational functionality—ensuring every garment enhances both brand perception and day-to-day performance.
Sukhothai required a uniform solution that could:
- Reflect a luxury hospitality brand identity
- Create visual cohesion across multiple departments
- Maintain comfort and durability in high-performance environments
- Incorporate bespoke design elements inspired by a defined creative direction
The key challenge was delivering a collection that felt elevated and design-led, while remaining practical for daily wear across service and kitchen teams.
Working closely with the client, Infinity Inc. developed a bespoke uniform strategy grounded in:
Design Translation
Our in-house design team translated visual themes into tangible garment details through colour, texture, pattern, and refined finishing.
Departmental Cohesion
Each role—from front-of-house to kitchen—was considered individually, while ensuring a consistent overarching aesthetic.
Functional Craftsmanship
Garments were designed with performance in mind, incorporating durable fabrics and practical features suited to hospitality environments.
Sustainability and ethical production were central to this project, incorporating a number of responsible practices, including:
- Garments embroidered using recycled threads to reduce environmental impact
- Orders dispatched in recycled packaging to minimise waste
- Deliveries made via electric vehicles where possible to lower emissions
- Production carried out in a factory certified to recognised global apparel standards, including WRAP Gold, SMETA/SEDEX, BSCI, GRS and SVCC
- Independent audits confirming compliance with international social and sustainability standards
The final delivery consisted of 350 bespoke garments, tailored to meet the operational needs of each department:
- 150 scarves (across 3 exclusive designs)
- 60 aprons
- 25 chef hats
- 32 chef jackets
- 3 ladies’ blazers
- 40 men’s shirts with piping
- 40 ladies’ shirts with piping
Each piece was developed to align with the brand’s visual identity while ensuring comfort, longevity, and ease of wear.
The finished collection delivers a unified and elevated look across the restaurant, enhancing both staff presentation and guest experience.
